Cody from the MHSAA will be hosting a bowling rules meeting on Saturday September 29th at two separate locations and times.  He will be at B’s Bowling Center in Flint beginning at 9am.  Then he will be at Monitor Lanes Bay City at approximately 12 noon.

Reminder: All coaches must either attend one of these meetings or the rules meeting online at the MHSAA website to be on the lanes for the post season.  Attending a meeting gives coaches the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers. These meetings are also beneficial to new coaches.

The MHSIBCA will be holding their Annual General Meeting on Saturday, October 20th at Royal Scot in Lansing. They are also offering CAP 1 and CAP 2 classes on Sunday, October 21st.  Here are the details:

Saturday October 21

• 9AM MHSIBCA Annual Meeting,
• We will be offering an on Lane Clinic with Aleta and Michelle and MHSAA rules meeting with Cody

Sunday, October 22nd

• 9AM CAP 1 & 2 from MHSAA begins
• Lunch provided
• Must pre-register with Bob Tubbs, you can send him an email to coachtubbs@comcast.net to pre register.
• The first 20 association members who sign up will receive the class for free.

At the start of last season (2017-2018) the out of season start date changed from Labor Day to August 15th. Meaning after August 15th the four person rule is in effect until the start of the Winter Sports Season – November 12th.

The MHSIBCA will be holding their annual All State Awards banquet on Saturday, April 28th at Century Banquet Center in Sterling Heights. The banquet will feature awards for all of the All State Bowlers in every division, they will also recognize all of the All State Academic Bowlers and each State Championship Team from each division. They will also be inducting 5 new members to this year’s Hall of Fame Class and the Detroit Free Press will be present to announce the Detroit Free Press Dream Team and Mr. and Miss Bowling winners. The All State committee’s have finished up the final numbers and are getting ready to announce/publish the all state teams for each division. The teams will be announced on Wednesday night around 7pm. Check the website for updates.

The ranking committee thanks all of the coaches across the state that sent in information this season for rankings.

The final high school bowling ranking will not be released/posted until Saturday, march 17th. Our ranking committee chairman is out of town on business until then. Sorry for the delay.
