MHSAA in Regard to Bowling Balls for 2022-23 Season

 MHSAA Announcement in Regard to Bowling Balls

for 2022-23 Season


· To review United States Bowling Congress announcement, the USBC prohibited the following six previously certified bowling balls from use in USBC national events, but they remain allowed in other USBC competition (including league play): Storm Phaze 4, Storm Electrify Solid, Storm Trend 2, 900 Global Altered Reality, 900 Global Wolverine and Roto Grip UFO Alert.

 

The list of equipment above will be allowed in all regular season events. But the MHSAA will ban the balls for regionals and the state finals for both Team and singles events. The 2 balls below will be banned from all High School bowling events regular and post-season.

 

· Purple Hammer bowling balls manufactured in 2016 and 2017 were banned from USBC certified competition
